• Fraktionale Statistik (Karbach)
• Hochkorrelierte Elektronensysteme und Magnetismus (Göhmann, Karbach)
• Untersuchung von Funktionalgleichungen für integrable Systeme mit Hilfe der Darstellungstheorie von Quantengruppen (Nirov †, Boos, Göhmann)

Free fermions in disguise -- From the XY chain to Fendley's four fermion model
Prof. Dr. Balazs Pozsgay
Abstract:
Recently a number of quantum spin chain models were discovered, which
admit a solution via free fermionic operators, despite being apparently interacting.
Their solution is markedly different from the usual techniques, which involve the
Jordan-Wigner transformation. The first such new model was called "free fermions
in disguise" and was published in 2019 by Paul Fendley. In this talk we give a brief
introduction into this new research area, and we also present a key new result:
We show that there is a family of models, which continuously interpolates between
known Jordan-Wigner solvable models and the original model of Fendley.
